Pacificorp's Jim Bridger Power Plant is located in Point of Rocks, Wyoming. The plant began operation in 1974 and generates 2,110 MW of electricity. This plant has three coal ash disposal units regulated by the coal ash rule: the Ash Landfill (200 acres), FGD Pond 1 (93 acres), and FGD Pond 2 (260 acres). All of these disposal units are unlined.

Bridger is the only underground coal mine operating in Wyoming and employs about 300 people. The mine provides fuel for coal-fired units at the nearby Jim Bridger Power Plant and is partially owned by PacifiCorp, the parent company of Rocky Mountain Power.
