I'm hopeing someone here can help me with some information about the Atlas horizontal mills. I've got a guy in Berkeley California checking out one of these small mills for me that was listed for sale. I looked thru Tony's Lathes uk site. The one I'm looking at buying is a MFC model. Tony's site lists a MF-G model plus various others but nothing on the MFC model.

Mar 06, 2007· Don't count on an Atlas milling machine to be capable of doing much work in any reasonable length of time,especially in steel.They work well in brass,and make a good little mill for clock makers.They are just too light.Something like a small Burke that 2 guys can move is much more of a real machine.This is my opinion,having had both mills in my beginning stages.Don't recall the Burke model.
