The long term cost is not as high as it would seem since you will probably never have to replace the grinding discs...plus the resale value should hold up over time.
Grind consistency with the PEAK is fantastic. This grinder is also extremely fast (almost twice the grind rate of the Mini E). It does retain some grinds but nothing crazy. The user interface is also very intuitive and easier to precisely adjust grind times than the potentiometers on the K30. All in all I highly recommend this grinder.
